Sometimes you just have to face hard fact. Even when it hurts, badly. 

Almost one year ago Swedish authorities decided to reject Alena Yashkina’s application for asylum in Sweden. Only option for her was to leave the country. 

Keeping a band together with a 3985km geographical distance presents a challenge. (…a 3985km challenge to be precise. Gävle, Sweden <-> Batumi, Georgia that is). As much as we all fancy the internet it is just not the same: *the joint creativity *the sessions in the rehearsal *the sessions in the studio *the band parties (…with friends). All of the above suffers big time with a 3985km distance. 

What to do? 

- Carmilla Family, please join us in welcoming aboard Jennie Pettersson as lead vocalist for Carmilla moving forward. 

Jennie has a background with local cover band that decided to quit just recently. Since, she has missed music and had a great determination to enter a stage again. Now this opportunity has opened up and we´re all excited to see where this turn will take Camilla. For sure we will cooperate with Alena in the future, but probably with a lower intensity. On the flip side, this gives more space for Alena to focus even more on her other band, Splitmind as they are all gathered in Batumi, Georgia.
